For Future Students

We warmly welcome students from all over the world to pursue bachelor's, master's, and Ph.D. degrees in the Coastal and Ocean Engineering Laboratory. We have successfully conducted research in the field of coastal and ocean engineering using three wave basins — a two-dimensional wave tank (30 m long, 0.70 m wide), a wide two-dimensional wave tank (25 m long, 2.22 m wide), a three-dimensional wave tank (28 m long, 11.0 m wide) — and an original state-of-the-art in-house numerical model FS3M (three-dimensional coupled Fluid-Structure-Sediment-Seabed interaction Model). Earning a Nagoya University degree will position you to make a big impact on our coastal areas, our society behind them, and our water planet.
